Ask for a category and a place — boulangeries in Lyon, or independent agencies in Bordeaux rated above 4.
The live listing supplies commercial name, address, phone, website, rating, review count and Maps URL.
A bounded crawl looks for a published raison sociale, SIREN or SIRET, and named people across contact, à-propos and équipe pages.
A SIREN published on the site is used first. Otherwise a strong name match is required, narrowed by postcode — and retried without it, because a company's siège social is often not its shopfront.
A match adds the SIREN, the active dirigeants and their qualité — gérant, président, directeur général — each linked to the public record.

The RNE confirms who is legally appointed to run a company. It does not publish their email addresses or phone numbers, so Orbitreach never presents a contact detail as register data.

Questions before you search.
Does the French register publish director email addresses?
No. The Registre National des Entreprises publishes who is appointed and in what capacity, not how to reach them. Email addresses in Orbitreach come from the business website or other public evidence, and are labelled separately.
Do I need an INPI account or an API key for French data?
No. Orbitreach reads French company and dirigeant data through the government's open Recherche d'entreprises service, which needs no account. There is nothing to configure and no per-lookup fee.
What is a SIREN, and how is it matched?
A SIREN is the nine-digit number identifying a French company. When a business publishes one, Orbitreach matches on it directly. Otherwise it matches on the registered name, using the postcode to separate candidates, and returns nothing when two remain too close to call.
Which French roles come back as decision-makers?
Individuals holding an operating role — gérant, président, directeur général, administrateur, associé. Statutory auditors, deputies and corporate officers appear in the same register list and are filtered out.
Can Orbitreach find small French businesses, not just large ones?
Yes. Discovery starts from live local listings rather than a corporate database, so independent commerces and small SARLs appear alongside larger companies. The register covers them equally: a one-person SARL has a SIREN and a gérant just as a SAS does.
